Welcome to Ellie Tarot ("we," "us," or the "Service"). These Terms of Use apply to the ellietarot.com website, the Ellie Tarot app, content, contact channels, and related services that we provide directly. By creating an account, signing in, making a purchase, or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Service and eligibility

The Service currently includes tarot meanings and learning content, a daily card, common spreads, reading records, notes, reminders, share posters, information about courses and human readings, and related contact entry points. Some features may not yet be available, may be limited to certain platforms or regions, or may require an account or paid entitlement.

The Service is not directed to children under 13. Users below the age of legal majority where they live should use the Service with a parent or guardian's consent and guidance. Purchases or human services may need to be completed by an adult.

Accounts and security

Some features allow or require an account. You must provide accurate information, protect your sign-in credentials, and take responsibility for activity under your account. If you discover unauthorized use, contact ellie@ellietarot.com promptly.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, intellectual property, or compliance with law. You can request account deletion through the in-app account-deletion function. Device-local data must be deleted separately on the device or by uninstalling the app.

Readings, content, and professional boundaries

Tarot cards, spreads, meanings, articles, automated output, and human readings are provided for learning, record-keeping, self-reflection, and general entertainment. They are not medical, mental-health treatment, legal, financial, investment, employment, or other professional advice, and they do not guarantee predictions, relationship outcomes, or specific events.

You must use your own judgment and remain responsible for your decisions. For health, safety, crisis, legal, financial, or major life decisions, consult an appropriately qualified professional or local emergency service. The Service is not a crisis-support channel.

AI-assisted interpretation

AI-assisted interpretation has not yet launched as a production feature. If offered in the future, results will be identified as automatically generated and may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, or unsuitable for your circumstances. AI is intended to help organize card structures and reflection prompts. It does not replace a human reading provided by Ellie or another person and is not professional advice.

Your content

"Your Content" includes focus text, questions, notes, profile images, contact messages, and other materials that you enter or save through the Service. You retain your rights in Your Content and grant us permission to store, process, transmit, and display it only as needed to provide account, sync, support, sharing, or human services that you choose to use.

You must have the right to provide Your Content. Do not submit unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, harassing, or harmful content, or disclose another person's information without authorization. Do not use the Service to harass, monitor, manipulate, or harm another person.

Purchases, subscriptions, and packs

When paid features become available, the product, price, currency, taxes, included uses, subscription period, auto-renewal terms, and entitlements will be shown before purchase. In-app purchases are processed by the applicable app store and are subject to that store's payment, refund, and subscription-management rules.

Subscriptions renew for the period shown on the purchase screen unless cancelled before the applicable store's deadline. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple ID, Google Play, or other applicable channel. Cancellation ordinarily takes effect after the current paid period ends.

Multi-use packs, consumable entitlements, and human services are limited to the scope shown on the purchase screen and order confirmation. Except where applicable law or payment-channel rules require otherwise, used, delivered, or commenced digital content and human services are not eligible for discretionary refunds. For duplicate charges, missing entitlements, or other payment issues, first contact the applicable payment channel and also email ellie@ellietarot.com if you need us to investigate.

Courses and human services

Course materials, training, human readings, and studio communication may be delivered through third-party social platforms or another confirmed channel. The scope, timing, follow-up questions, materials, participation method, rescheduling, and cancellation arrangements are governed by the information shown before purchase and separately confirmed with you. Unless expressly stated, an app digital purchase does not include a human service, and a subscription does not promise an immediate response from a person.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• bypass access, region, account, or purchase controls;
• interfere with the Service, upload malicious code, probe vulnerabilities, or perform unauthorized automated extraction;
• copy, bulk-extract, resell, or impersonate the Service's original card meanings, courses, articles, interfaces, or brand materials;
• use the Service for unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, or unsafe activity;
• make false guarantees about automated or human readings or present them as medical, legal, financial, or other professional services.

Intellectual property and card artwork

The Service's software, brand, interface, original writing, courses, and visual design are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Some historical card artwork, visual works, or source materials may be in the public domain, openly licensed, or provided by third parties; their rights and attribution are identified in the applicable source notice. Public-domain card artwork does not place our original organization, translations, layouts, brand, or software in the public domain.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or an applicable license, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit the Service or its original content without written permission.

Third-party services and links

The Service may rely on or link to authentication, app stores, payment, hosting, analytics, social platforms, and other third-party services. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. We do not control their availability, content, or independent processing activities.

Changes and availability

We may add, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that a particular spread, item of content, price, human service, or platform version will remain available. If a change affects a purchased entitlement, we will address it as required by applicable law and payment-channel rules.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no express or implied warranty about any card, interpretation, AI output, user decision, third-party service, or continued availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss arising from the use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in this section excludes consumer rights or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account. We may restrict or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, infringe rights, or abuse the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, accrued payment obligations, disclaimers, and liability limits, will continue to apply.

Applicable rules and disputes

These Terms do not limit rights granted to you by mandatory consumer-protection law where you live. If a dispute arises, contact ellie@ellietarot.com first so we can try to resolve it. Any unresolved dispute will be handled by a court or authority with jurisdiction under applicable law.

Updates to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service and applicable rules change. A new version will be published here with its effective date, and historical versions will remain available. We will provide additional notice of material changes where reasonably practicable. Continuing to use the Service after an update becomes effective means you accept the updated Terms.
